Residents from Budondo Jinja Northern Division are seeking for an answer from Jinja City mayor Peter Altoni Kasoolo Okocha an answer on the cause of the delay of the proposed project of the construction of the Makerere University on the Budondo sub county land.
While speaking to this radio, these opinion leaders led by former Jinja district councilor from Budondo Baale Bwooya have noted the much speed that councilors had at fast and now are just keeping quiet
He says that there must be something behind that is delaying which they don’t want to disclose to the media

And when approached over the matter, the Jinja city mayor Peter Okocha Kasoolo has admitted the delay and says that residents are very right but plans for construction of the university are in process
He says that a multibillion project always takes enough time to set off but soon the few remaining issues are being resolved in order to have the progress.#citynewsupdates
