Baba Diri Commended for Mentoring PWDs

Vice President Jesica Alupo has described the late Hon Margaret Baba Diri as a political mentor
Alupo was speaking to thousands of mourners at the burial of the late Baba Diri at St. Charles Lwanga College Koboko playgrounds
The late Baba Diri, the former Woman Member of Parliament for Koboko district died on January 9th in Kampala, she succumbed to a heart Attack.
Alupo who represented President Museveni, said Baba Diri was a selfless, generous, hardworking and resilient person who overcame all odds despite the visual impairment and served the people of Koboko efficiently and effectively
In response to requests to have a Secondary School for the blind in memory of Baba Diri and unfulfilled Presidential pledges for the people of Koboko, the Vice President pledged to follow up with the President
Grace Hellen Asamo the State Minister for Disability Affairs said the late Baba Diri was a mentor to all including the PWD fraternity, which she represented and also worked tirelessly to lobby for developments for Koboko
Sabino Ocan Odoki, the Bishop of the Diocese of Arua described her as a woman of virtues who should be emulated
