Police Investigate Killing of Guard at Stabex

Police in Busoga North are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder of David Masaba, a guard at Stabex Pump Fuel station in Kaliro district
Masaba met his death at the hands of unknown assailants in the early hours of Monday morning
One of the employees recalled seeing the assailants approaching the fuel pumping area on a motorcycle, through the office windows
The assailants then attacked Masaba, who was standing near the motorcycle
She said that Masaba attempted to call for help but was struck in the head before the attackers sped off.
The employees described the assailants as wearing dark hooded jackets, making it difficult to identify them, and said they fled towards Iganga
In response, Rodgers Kiduma, the Assistant Kaliro Resident District Commissioner, confirmed that security teams were alerted and attempted to track the suspects, but lost their trail along the Iganga–Kaliro road as the assailants switched to feeder roads to evade capture
Kiduma also noted that investigators have recovered valuable pieces of evidence that will aid in tracking down the suspects, who are believed to be hiding in neighboring districts
