Woman in Kagadi Wanted over Death of Husband

The police in Kagadi District are hunting for Rosemary Tuhaise, a resident of Kyeicumu village, Kyenzige sub-county, over the murder of her husband

The deceased is identified as Charles Lwanga, 57, a mathematics teacher at Kyeicumu Primary School.

The couple on night developed a misunderstanding for unknown reasons, and in the process, Tuhaise picked up a hand hoe and struck Lwanga severely on the head. Lwanga sounded an alarm that attracted the neighbors.

Patrick Twesige, the area LCI Chairperson, explains that although residents mobilized to transport Lwanga to Kagadi hospital, he died before arriving at the health facility. 

Francis Byamukama, the LCIII Chairperson for Kyenzige sub-county, condemned the incident and appealed to the police to expedite investigations to ensure that the suspect is apprehended and charged accordingly.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, says that efforts are underway to have the suspect apprehended.
