Halima Namakula claims to be first Ugandan to record a proper music video

Legendary singer Halima Namakula has bragged about being the first Ugandan musician to ever record a proper music video in the land.
The 65-year-old stated that she managed to do so because of the exposure she had gained during the time she stayed in the U.S.A.
She claimed that she did it for her hit song “Ekimbewo” that gained massive air rotation on the few media stations that were availabe during the time.

I was the first person to create a proper music video, not just a stage performance. I did it for the song Ekimbewo.
Halima Namakula also shared that she started her music career in her 30s when she already had children but looked younger than her age.
Soon, she will be marking 52 years in the creative arts with a VIP concert at Kampala Serena Hotel.

Speaking in an interview, she also disclosed that her 37-year old daughter Racheal K, real name Racheal Kiwanuka, is seeing a someone who is based in Sweden.
