Two Arrested over Murder in Nabilatuk
The suspects, identified as 25-year-old John Michael Lokut and 33-year-old Moses Lokol, both residents of Ngorakadong Village, are currently in custody as police intensify the hunt for others still at large. “A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death,” Longole stated, urging the public to share any information that may aid investigations.
Police in Nabilatuk District have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 32-year-old man in Ngorakadong Village, Lolachat Sub-county. The deceased, identified as Pusikwang Lotee, was reportedly assaulted to death on Saturday, July 26, at around 5:00 p.m. in the same village.
According to Mike Longole, the Mt. Moroto Regional Police Spokesperson, the case has been registered under Lolachat CRB 32/2025. He said the police visited the scene, examined the body, and obtained statements from witnesses, the reporter, and the suspects.

The incident marks the third murder reported within a week across the districts of Napak, Moroto, Nakapiripirit, and Nabilatuk, raising concerns over the growing insecurity in the Karamoja sub-region.
On July 23, a 17-year-old girl was brutally murdered by unknown assailants in Napak District. Her beheaded body was discovered dumped in the bush, and the motive for the killing remains unknown. The following day, July 24, a 42-year-old woman, Lotipo Logit, was assaulted by a group of young men in Awemujju Village, Nadunget Sub-county, Moroto District. She later succumbed to her injuries.
On the same day, another 17-year-old, Achuka Sande, was reportedly killed by a man identified as Loumo Ekudo Mariko in Nabatta Village, Loasam Parish, Loreng Sub-county, Nakapiripirit District. Police say investigations into all the incidents are ongoing.
