Police in Mukono Hunt for Assailants Who Attacked Boda Boda Cyclist

Police in Mukono are searching for unknown assailants who attacked a boda boda cyclist, hacking him on the head before stealing his motorcycle
The incident occurred at Nsuube village in Mukono Central Division
The victim, estimated to be around 20 years old, was found dumped along the roadside near Kyungu Trading Center
Mukono Police Division Commander Benard Mugerwa confirmed the attack, noting that the victim is not known in the area
Kawooya also urged boda boda riders to always carry identification documents and commended Mukono Police for their timely response to the incident
The area Defense Secretary and residents also urged boda boda riders to limit their working hours and cautioned wrongdoers against violent actions. Abubaker Matovu, a resident of Kyungu, raised concerns about Mukono General Hospital, alleging that health workers at the facility hindered efforts to assist victims
Deo Mutebi, the General Secretary of boda boda cyclists in Mukono District, called on those in the boda boda industry to obtain stage identity cards and avoid dangerous areas
He also encouraged anyone who has lost a loved one to visit Mukono General Hospital
Umar Sebuyungo, Operations Officer of the Uganda People’s Defence Reserve Force, urged boda boda riders to carry their details and phone numbers for emergency situations
