Katikiro of Busiki Chiefdom to Establish Elders Council to Uphold Cultural Values

The Katikiro of Busiki Chiefdom in the Busoga Kingdom, Owek Simon Peter Basangwa Wakudumira, has unveiled plans to establish an Elders Council focused on promoting cultural values, norms, and good morals within the chiefdom.

During an interview with City FM, Owek Basangwa revealed that the council will consist of four representatives from each sub-county. He highlighted that the initiative is designed to offer guidance and counseling by tapping into the vast knowledge and experience of the elders.

The primary goal of the council is to nurture responsible young individuals, ensuring they grow with a strong sense of cultural identity and values.
